Corporate Fraud

Some of you might have heard of the Enron's case which had bring a lot of misfortunes to the people preferably the shareholders and their employees terminated from work. The company were once one of the top company in America and was in NYSE; had collapsed and liquidated so sudden that it shocked the industry. Manipulation of the accounts by the directors and some misappropriation of assets were the cause of such problems. Business complexity had caused the directors in modifying its accounts to show favorable amounts in their financial reports.However, the actions had become a habit and had caused the accumulation of debt in the company. There are also conspiracies involving their external auditor at that time, Arthur Andersen which do not portrait-ed their work in proper due care. Accounting profession had gone blunder as people started to question on the reliability and trustworthiness of accountants in performing their work.

Most important criteria in solving the above case actually lies within the company itself where the directors should become more ethical in performing their duties. More holistic approach should be done where the directors should be educated more in ethical behavior as to prevent the problem of self interest.

Jailbreak succeded..

Jailbreak gives you the privileged in installing ur favourite apps into ur Iphone and Ipod for free. Recently I hv tried jailbreak-ing my friends ipod touch firmware 4.1 using greenpoison (www.greenpoison.com). Download the software through the website and install it into your computer. Firstly, u hv to connect your ipod/iphone to the computer. Open greenpoison and follow the simple steps guiding u throughout the process. Jailbreak was never been so easyy~~ ^^

Make sure that the cydia can be loaded after all the jailbreak. If there is a problem in loading cydia , use redsnow to install cydia . After cydia was installed, download 'Installous'. This app will help you in downloading other apps that u required. First open cydia then go to > search tab> write http://cydia.hackulo.us/ >click enter> go to manage tab> hackulo > install Appsync for 4.0+,hackolus resource, Hackolus Security and Installous 4 ( ignored if already installed).

And after that, U can use Installous and install any apps to ur liking. =)

Seoul trip~~

Last year, I went to Seoul for a family trip. It was a very exciting trip because I am able to play with snow for the first time. ;) haha.. I sounded like an adolescent kid. The trip was for 5 days from 25~30 December. It was very cold because of the winter season and sometimes the temperature even reaches below -15 Celsius. Wow.. it is even colder than my refrigerator and air conditioner at home. hAHA... ;p. Despite the coldness and my lip drying up because of the dryness, I love Korea very much. It is a very beautiful country with a lot of beautiful people especially girlsss. ;p Definitely going there again if I have a chance but next time maybe will be going during the summer season.

Linguistics Part 1

It never hurts to learn something new everyday. Today I had learned korean language alphabet also known as 'hangul'. I found it rather amusing and easy to understand the characters. Here are some of the characters (consonants):

Alphabet	English Equivalent	Extra Points	Examples
ㄱ	An unaspirated ‘k’ at the beginning of a word, and a ‘g’ most of the time in the middle of words.	By unaspirated, I mean that it’s not pronounced very hard, like the English ‘k’.	가! – ka – "Go!"
ㄴ	‘n’	Made by almost biting on the tongue at the ends of words, and by placing the tongue behind the top teeth otherwise.	나 – na – "I"
ㄷ	Like, ㄱ, this consonant is like the unaspirated ‘t’ in English. It is a ‘d’ in the middle of words.		다 – ta – "all"
ㄹ	A mixture between the English ‘r’ and ‘l’. When between vowels, it is like a single rolled Spanish ‘r’ or like the ‘tt’ in ‘butter’ in some American dialects. If there are two of them together, it becomes a solid ‘l’.		가라! – ka-ra – "Go!" 달리 – tal-li – "differently"
ㅁ	‘m’		마음 – ma-ŭm – "heart"
ㅂ	An unaspirated ‘p’ at the beginning of words, and a ‘b’ in the middle of words.		반 – pan – "half"
ㅅ	‘s’	When coming before the "ee" sound, it becomes an ‘sh’.	산 – san – "mountain" 시 – shi – "poem"
ㅇ	In the bottom of syllables, this character is like the English ‘ng’ without the ‘g’ sound. At the beginning of syllables, this character is just a place marker and has no sound.		잉어 – ing-ŏ – "carp" 영어 – yŏng-ŏ – "English"
ㅈ	Unaspirated ‘ch’ at the beginning of words, ‘j’ inside words.		자 – cha – ruler 자자 – cha-ja – "Let’s sleep"
ㅊ	Strongly aspirated ‘ch’.		차 – ch’a – "car"
ㅋ	Strongly aspirated ‘k’.		카페 – k’a-pe – "Café"
ㅌ	Strongly aspirated ‘t’.		탄내 – t’an-nae – "burnt smell"
ㅍ	Strongly aspirated ‘p’.		패 – p’ae – "medal"
ㅎ	‘h’	Almost silent after ㄴ, ㅁ, ㅇ, between vowels. When it comes before or followsㄱ, ㄷ,ㅂ, or ㅈ, it makes the consonants aspirated: ㅋ, ㅌ,ㅍ, ㅊ respectively.	해 – hae – "sun"

I remembered only one or two characters by now but I hope I could master it someday. FIGHTING!! =D

There are tons of things that could get me excited such as writing blogs, watch movies with friends and family, eat and having a goodnight sleep.. that's sounds easy. haha..
All of this would be very delightful as like Barney in HIMYM would say but the problem of insufficient of funds had caused me to sit at home in the state of boringness(not sure its the correct word but hopefully you understand;P).
